Introduction
I’m going to be honest: Europeans live a life that is beyond my wildest dreams. They’re able to travel, eat amazing foods, drink coffee and wine, and be productive at the same time. In fact, their lives are so good that I’ve decided it’s time for me to become European! Here are some lessons I’ve learned from my adventures abroad about how you can live like one of these lucky people:
Eat Nutella for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Nutella is a hazelnut spread that has been popular in Europe since the 1950s. It is made by the Italian company Ferrero, who also makes Nutella’s more famous cousin Kinder Surprise Eggs.
Like many European treats, Nutella can be eaten at any time of day: on toast or crepes for breakfast; as an ingredient in baked goods like muffins or brownies; or even straight off the spoon if you’re feeling adventurous!
Drink coffee at any time of day.
Coffee is a staple of the European diet, and it’s a great way to start the day. But you don’t have to be European to appreciate coffee’s benefits: it will keep you awake throughout the day, and can even help improve your mental alertness.
It’s no secret that Europeans are serious about their coffee consumption–they drink an average of three cups per day! So if you want something more than just a cup of joe at home or on-the-go, head over to one of these establishments where they’ll serve up some delicious brews:
Take public transportation everywhere.
Public transportation is a great way to see the city, meet people and learn about the culture. It’s also a great way to save money and protect the environment.
Eat breakfast in bed.
Breakfast in bed is a luxury. It’s a great way to start the day, but it also allows you to relax and spend time with family.
Buy fruit from a cart on the street corner.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of fruit. It’s delicious and healthy, but it can be expensive at the grocery store. Why pay more for something that’s available all year round when you can get it for less?
That’s why I always stop and buy oranges from a street vendor if I’m walking down the street on my way home from work. They’re always fresh, their prices are reasonable (usually around $1 per pound), and they’ll even give me free samples if I ask nicely enough! In addition to enjoying this benefit every day during my commute home from work or school–and saving money in doing so–I also feel good knowing that I’m supporting local farmers by buying directly from them rather than going through some sort of middleman like Walmart or Costco (which would probably sell me old fruit anyway).
Go to the beach on a work day (and really, why not?).
If you’re like me, you might have been brought up thinking that the beach is only for weekends. But the truth is that Europeans don’t think this way at all! In fact, most European cities have beaches within walking distance of their downtown areas–and if they don’t have one nearby, they’ll take a train or bus to get there (just like us).
This is great news because it means that European beaches are accessible even when your schedule isn’t flexible enough to leave work early on Friday afternoon or take off half a day during lunchtime on Monday. You just need to plan ahead: check online before leaving home whether public transportation will be running as usual and whether there will be lots of people at the beach; bring along your own equipment (towels and sunscreen), food/snacks if needed; and make sure someone knows where exactly where they’ll find you once they arrive so there aren’t any unnecessary panic attacks later on!
Go grocery shopping in your pajamas.
Grocery shopping in Europe is a completely different experience than it is in America. For starters, Europeans don’t tend to shop for groceries at all hours of the day–they’re more likely to go in the morning or late afternoon. And when they do go shopping, they do so wearing their pajamas! It’s true: Europeans are much more casual about grocery shopping than we are here in America.
The benefits of this approach are obvious: if you can get up earlier and go out with nothing but your PJs on (or even better, stay home), then there’s no need for an outfit change before heading into work or spending time with friends later on in the day–and everyone knows that extra time spent getting ready means less time actually living life!
Eat pizza every night for dinner.
It’s a well-known fact that Europeans eat pizza every night for dinner, and it’s also a well-known fact that this is the reason why they live such long, healthy lives. So if you want to be like them, then you should eat pizza every night for dinner. Not only is it convenient because you can buy it at any time of day (or even order online), but it’s also good for you–pizza has cheese on top! And vegetables! And bread underneath!
A lot of people don’t realize this because they’re too busy eating hamburgers or tacos or hot dogs or whatever else Americans call “food” these days. But if you want real nutrition in your diet–and who doesn’t?–then consider swapping out those meals with some delicious Italian sausage and mozzarella slices instead!
Europeans live an amazing life without giving up their jobs or responsibilities
Europeans live an amazing life without giving up their jobs or responsibilities. They are able to enjoy a great quality of life, while still having time for friends and family. This can be attributed to the fact that Europeans work less than Americans do. In addition, they have better access to healthcare so they don’t need as much money saved in case something happens.
Europeans also get paid more than Americans for doing similar work; however, this doesn’t mean that everyone is wealthy in Europe–there are plenty of people living paycheck-to-paycheck just like here in America! But on average, salaries tend to be higher because employers know that workers won’t burn out from working long hours every day (like we often do).
Conclusion
If you’re feeling a little stuck in your routine, it might be time to consider moving to Europe. The food is amazing, there are beautiful beaches everywhere and the people are some of the most laid back people in the world. If you have ever wanted to experience life like an European then now is your chance!
